Helideck Lighting
Helideck lighting systems provide safe, compliant visual guidance for helicopter operations on offshore platforms by combining perimeter, flood, and status lights with clearly defined helideck markings.
Helideck Lighting
Helideck lighting systems are critical for ensuring safe helicopter landing, take-off, and deck operations in demanding offshore environments. A complete helideck lighting system typically consists of helideck perimeter lights to define the landing area, helideck floodlights to provide adequate illumination, and a helideck status light to communicate deck availability and operational conditions to pilots. Together with offshore helideck markings, these elements form a fully integrated visual guidance system that supports compliance with international aviation standards such as ICAO and CAP 437.
Designed for harsh marine conditions, modern helideck lights use durable, corrosion-resistant materials and energy-efficient LED technology to ensure long-term reliability with minimal maintenance. Integration with control systems allows operators to manage lighting behavior based on real-time conditions, improving safety and operational efficiency on offshore platforms, vessels, and wind installations.
A well-engineered helideck lighting system not only enhances pilot situational awareness but also reduces risk during critical phases of flight. Whether for new installations or upgrades, selecting the right combination of helideck lighting, control integration, and markings guidance ensures a future-proof solution tailored to project-specific offshore requirements.

The Q-Explosion proof TD/PM system (Touchdown/Positioning Marking) is comprising of a lit circle and a lit heliport ‘H’ marking, in order to aid visual cues for helicopter pilots during landing. The Circle makes a lit marking, ensuring pilots have a clear target for the touchdown zone. The ‘H’ marking aids in accurate alignment.
